Hi Vicki, The brick you shouldn’t need to worry about if it works for your phone and old iPad mini.
As for cable, Two ways to do it, Either purchase a 2 or 3 meter long USB type a to lightening connector cable from apple or other such provider depending on where you are, Or buy if you don’t already have one, A USB extension cable of either 1 or 2 meters which should give you the length you need.
