I bought a 6 feet long lightning cable at Wal-Mart today.

Any suggestions as to what to purchase and do I need to use a special brick? I won't be using the brick in the box, but I have a charger that I've been using for regular charging on my phone and old mini Ipad which will charge two devices at once.
