I find the selection process a difficult thing to ahcieve, and only in an
edit field when it works at all. It doens't seem to select backwards for a
start.

More detail on this owuld help.

Ramy,

It may help if you explain in a bit more detail what exactly you want to do.
I think people are assuming you want to select text in this file, then copy
and it and paste it somewhere else. From what you wrote it sounds to me
somebody sent you this Text file and you want to copy the entire file and
move it somewhere else. I am, however, not sure where you want to move it
since the iPhone doesn't really have an accessible file system like Windows
where you could take an attachment you got in a message, email, Skype etc.
and save it in some folder somewhere. If you want the content of this Text
file somewhere on your iPhone where you can get to it, it would probably be
best if you open the file, then see if there is an Edit option in the rotor
and tap on Select All, then Copy. This will copy the entire text to the
clipboard and you could now go into the Notes app or any other editor you
may have like List Recorder, Nebulus Notes, Elements etc. Here select Paste
from the Edit Rotor and all your text should be pasted in and you can now
save it, if you use something like Elements and you also use Dropbox the
file will be available to you on the computer as well via Dropbox.

Regards,
Sieghard

In an edit field use rotor to go to edit and select all.
Or, if you want just a portion of the text, you increase or decrease your
selection by pinching with to fingers on screen in or out. It is a gesture I
found a bit tricky. Vest to practice in VoiceOver practice mode.
The increment of your selection depends on your rotor setting. In other
words, if you have it set to words, touching screen with 2fingers and
increasing the distance between them will select the word to the right of
cursor. If the rotor was set to lines, the same gesture would select one
line. Hope this gives ooh a starting point.
After selecting, change rotor to edit and choose copy or cut.

Good luck with this.

Best,
Ioana
