Alan, I just checked, and at 17.9 seconds, it switches to the SE built-in microphone. I say, “this is now recording using the iPhone SE 2nd gerneration ….” Etc. It is certainly far less clear, but I can understand the words, but far more muffled than the Airpods Max portion of the recording. To be totally transparent, I made two recordings. Then, I merged the recordings by pasting the recording with the SE at the end of the recording of the airpods Max using Goldwave. Both had the exact same attributes. The only difference is which microphone was being used. No settings were harmed in the making of this recording. I simply switched which microphone was being used.
