Thanks for the help. My keypad is back to functioning the way I prefer. I looked all over for the setting that corrected the problem but I never even thought to look in the incoming calls section. A more useful alternative is to alter the default setting for the Phone app. If this is your situation, you can reset the Phone app to its former behaviour where it will use a full screen for the call information. This should give you back your number pad when the call comes in. You can do this in: Settings / phone / Incoming calls Double tap this button and choose the full screen option. I hope this helps.
