why is it ridiculous? sighted people get directions on their phone, and are
told what to do at every turn. I personally was always embarrassed by a cane,
and allergic to dogs. if tech can help us out why not? I for one hated my cane,
loathed it because it made me feel different than my sighted friends at school.
I live in a rural area, like to walk close arm in arm with my husband, and my
cane is in a closet, and has been for years. If I could use something techy I
would be far more excited about travelling alone.
