We bought the Samsung TU 8000 43 inch in August of 2020.
We have Xfinity/Comcast for our internet and TV provider.
Using its remote control with its voice guidance enabled, you press the Home 
button which is the  middle of three buttons just above the channel up/down and 
volume up/down toggles.
Then, using the left/right arrows on the navigation circle, you can go to Apps, 
and find and download the apps you need.  I do not remember which ones were 
already there that just had to be signed into,  I think I had to add Apple TV, 
but that was something my sighted wife helped with so I am not clear.
But, right now, if I right arrow after hitting the home button, I have (not 
necessarily in this order), Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, Disney Plus, 
Youtube, Hulu, Paramont plus, VuDu, and probably a couple others I cannot 
remember.
I selected Netflix and the voice guidance works through all the options so I 
can independently pick something to watch.
I often just use Voice commands because that is easier.
We often watch things together, so I just go the lazy/efficient route and let 
my wife go through the selections.

We paid $329.99  for the TV at Video Only.

The voice is OK, your stock Samsung voice; but along with our Xfinity remote, I

Our 3rd gen Apple TV is sitting in my wife's office not really being used since 
we got the SamSung.

I can’t speak to Roku and it’s absolute latest incarnation, but what I do know 
about it for my experience is that the voice they use is hideous. I had a Roku 
stick, and it was sluggish. And although I have been using synthetic speech 
since the DOS days, I found their speech is hard to understand is anything I’ve 
ever heard in the synthetic speech world. In other words, avoid it like the 
plague.
