Arnold, That, I think, is the function of the IOS limiting large file downloads to when you are connected via wifi. ----- Original Message ----- From: Arnold Schmidt To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2012 6:16 PM Subject: Some Kind Of Cellular Data Transfer Problem With My IPhone 5
I guess that is what I can call it, although I just went to testmy.net, and it says I get 6.43 meg down and 1.52 meg up. My router has not come yet, so I can't say if this problem would be on wifi, too. Here are the symptoms that something isn't right. On Sunday, I tried to download a small book from audible, and it told me the file was over 50 meg and that I would have to download it via wifi, or ITunes. Surely, this is not a Verizon issue, they hope I go over my data limit so they can make more money. Then, last night, I installed the TuneIn Radio and NPR news apps. Both these apps play the radio in what sounds like compressed monno. Both of them also buffer a lot. I have tried several stations, using both apps, with the same result. I called Verizon, thinking that I perhaps had some kind of data restriction on my account, and they said I do not. I have looked several times through the settings in this phone, hoping to find something to change, and have not found anything. When I looked through the cellular settings, it said LTE was on. Any ideas? Arnold Schmidt -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
