For the first time in eighteen months, I got to go out to a public gathering. Of course, I put a fresh set of batteries in my hearing aids and inserted them into my ears, but when I tried using the phone with them, not only were they not paired with the phone, but I could not do the pairing. I opened Bluetooth Settings and found somebody's LG something in the area with which I accidentally paired, but my hearing aids weren't even on the list. My aids are not the type that can receive firmware updates, so I know that's not the problem. However, I do have an Apple Watch, and it was correctly paired with the phone. Is it possible that it's not permissible to have a watch and aids paired at the same time? Or did I possibly forget to set something up on the phone correctly when I did the initial install and setup, moving from the 10S (or XS) Max to the 12 Pro Max two months ago?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, gratefully received.
