Mike, It has been a few IOS versions ago in which voicemail messages could be listened to through the speaker. I wish Apple would bring the option back. I found that if a person was speaking quietly letting the voicemail come through the speaker made the voicemail louder. Now voicemail messages have to be listened to by putting the phone to the ear. I don't like this, because sometimes I miss the first few words of a message, due to the few seconds that it takes to start play & bring the phone to my ear. As for the voicemail transcript, for me, all of the transcript is never there. I find the feature useless for the most part.
