Here is how I tested this: 1. I opened Settings > Accessibility > Voiceover > Verbosity > Actions 2. I started by selecting "Do Nothing" which automatically deselects any other options which might be selected. 3. I now swipe up from the bottom to open the App Switcher and flick left to see what sort of feedback I get and here are the results: • If "Do Nothing" is selected, nothing happens. Expectation is that nothing happens so this works correctly. • If only "Play Sound" is selected, there is no announcement of "Actions Available" and there is also no sound. Expectation is that you should hear the knock sound. • If only "Speak" is selected it's the same thing, nothing is spoken and there is no sound. Expectation would be you hear "Actions Available". • If you select "Speak" and "Play Sound" Voiceover will say "Actions Available" but there still is no sound. Expectation is that you should hear "Actions Available" and also the knock sound. • If you select "Speak" and "Change Pitch" the knock sound plays, but there is no "Actions Available" announcement. Expectation is you would hear the announcement in a different pitch but no sound. Note: if you don't select Speak but select Change Pitch Speak is automatically selected because one would expect that of course for Change Pitch there has to be a spoken announcement. • If you select "Speak", "Play Sound" and "Change Pitch", the result is still the same, just the knock sound plays. Expectation is that you get the sound, but also hear "Actions Available" in a different pitch. I actually make an assumption here that if "Change Pitch" is selected you hear "Actions Available" in a different pitch, maybe a higher pitch, but I guess it is possible that you simply hear the name of the app in the App Switcher (in my example) spoken in a higher or lower pitch, Apple Accessibility would have to explain what the expected behaviour is. Conclusion: Apple Accessibility, please take a look at this and correct the behaviour which should occur. VoiceOver settings, verbosity, action. If play a sound is selected, that is the sound. However, for me, having speak selected kept the sound going even though that was not selected. I changed it to do nothing, and the sound is gone. I figure I know if I can take an action on an item without that loody noise or words. To be safe, I also set More Content to do nothing and will see if I end up needing to change that. Thanks.
