Harry, I just successfully connected to my FaceTime from my Windows PC and it was just my iPhone, so no conversation in progress. ON the Windows side, I had to enter my name and hit Join call, to get this really started. What is tricky at best, is that the request to join seems to show up in the notification center.
Double tap on it there. Then, Double tap on the name that is wanting to join. Now, flick up to approve join request and double tap. For me that has worked 3 times in a row. The sound quality is excellent on both sides and virtually no delay.
