Do the new phones come with the triple click home short cut set up? I have the 4 s, and that had to be set up on my phone. I had to have a sighted person turn voice over on, but, maybe that has changed. I set up a verizon phone for my niece. I had to call Verizon once I got voice over set up. They asked fora sereal number, and then it was good to go. This, however, was not a new phone. She purchased it from ebay. My 4 s was, however brand new and was not set up with the triple click home.
