Hi,
Thank you.  I've done that and even changed the voice Siri uses and tried, then 
changed it back, and still the same thing.
I do appreciate everyone's help, I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing 
a similar issue?

Hello,
I'd try going into Siri settings and deleting Siri and dictation history to see 
if the issue still persists. I'd also suggest disabling and re-enabling  the 
means in which Siri either listens for your command or for pressing the home 
button to speak to Siri as well.
