The EuroBraille has such a notepad feature built-in. It is a nicely sturdy Braille display that comes in 12, 20, or 40 cells. Notes and such are maintained on an SD card. My only problem with the display is the Braille keyboard is round buttons a little larger than the tip of the finger. That said, I am seriously considering acquiring one after my current display dies.
