With each display I have had, I always turn the display on first, and then the iPhone. I haven't encountered this problem until I recently decided I wanted a smaller display for carrying with me to use my phone. With the Orbit reader, the sleep mode feature's a good idea for instant use. However, when the Reader's off overnight, or, when I shut it off completely, it may, when turning on, say it's connected, but it doesn't work. The Orbit research people merely remind me to do what's in the manual, and, with regard to it recognizing the iPhone's connection, they just say forget the device and re-pair it. Your suggestion's a good one. Thanks.
