I have tried doing this and it doesn't work for me. It stands alone. I move
it onto the last page of apps so I don't encounter it.

I've heard of a method of placing the newsstand app into a folder just to
get it out of the way, but from what I recall, it sounds like a sighted type
of deal having to do with draggint the app on to another app and waiting for
the apps to wiggle and create a folder and then do God knows what.

I just move all apps I don't really use to the last page of apps, for
example, if you have apps and folders on 3 pages, just move all the stock
apps you don't want to use onto the fourth page. Alternatively, you could
create a folder and call it "Unused Apps" or something like that. That is
not the same as completely hiding or deleting it, but I find it just as
good.
