I just did this on my 13 pro.
1. Deleting a message from someone in my contacts acted the same as always. 2. Deleting one from a number not in my contacts, offered the usual delete button, then popped up the you can report this as junk message, I flicked right to don’t report and double tapped. Yes, that adds a layer, but it doesn’t seem that difficult and it is a nice feature if you are dealing with junk/spam text messages. There is nothing new in settings to deal with this.
