They know of all sorts of problems and maybe a fix has already been implemented, but you won't get it until the next update which I assume will most likely come in the next week or two. My iPhone 11 also doesn't identify music with SIRI right now, same answer as yours, but as a work-around which really isn't a big deal just make sure Music Recognition is in your Control Centre, when you want to identify a song swipe down from the top, tap on music recognition and from there all works well. Also, since you feel strongly about it I hope you will provide feedback to Apple either via publically available channels or via the [email protected] email although this issue is not really accessibility related, same as with the copy and paste issue where users are prompted for permission each time and which has already been discussed in many mainstream articles and is most likely also being fixed in the next update. Keep in mind that what bugs one person may not bug 10 others, if you don't ever use copy and paste you may not care about it just as somebody who doesn't use music recognition couldn't care less if SIRI can identify music or not. I use it from time to time, but so rarely that I probably would have never noticed there was an issue if I hadn't read about it and tried it because had I tried to use it in a month or two it would have most likely been fixed.

This is really of interest, nothing more. I have an Iphon 12, brand new. during setup, the invitation which can not be refused, to update to IOS16 was offered, so I seized it, with something close to enthusiasm. so one of the benefits of this update, on this phone, is that the system no longer identifies music, artist, or title, instead the encouraging message, "sorry I can't recognize music right now, please try in a bit. A bit of what? I ask! this message is spoken with something close to confidence. with her permission, I reach for my wife's SE second generation, running IOS16, and pose the same question. Now I hear huge applause, and the music is adentifyed as Chick Corea, Crystal silence. to keep this esay short, I repeat the procedure with my old Iphone 7 plus, running IOS 15.7, and My Ipad, and they both, almost in perfect harmony, identify each item of music, while the beautiful Shiny new iphone 12, stubborn in its reluctance, or inability to perform the same task fails with utmost confidence. It seems that this update has negative effects on some phones, but not all phones. Maybe this is a handset problem, but I doubt it. After writing the above, I asked Shazam to identify a track, . You can guess the outcome? perfect. so there we have it. Where, in the huge organization of apple, would I advise, if they don't know already, of this problem. Thanks for reading. good luck with IOS 16 yall. Joe -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
