I agree. A wireless charger isn't necessary, but like Sieghard, I do find it a bit more convenient, so I don't regret what I've spent on wireless chargers. I don't have a mag safe charger, but I do have a leather case. I don't know what kind of marks a mag safe charger leaves on leather cases, but IMHO, one of the appeals of a leather case is how they wear over time and become uniquely yours.

My only complaint with wireless charging is that it is relatively easy to move the phone especially if I use my wired Earpods in the evening, not difficult to pull a bit on them and the phone is out of position to charge, MagSafe would prevent this since the phone is stuck on the charger.
