That is what I thought and unfortunately many headsets are like this. The Logitech H800 is not like this, it communicates with the dongle the same way as most Logitech keyboards which include a dongle do, they use radio frequency and there is no lag involved and you don't require something like Silenzio or turn on the equivalent feature in Jaws to prevent the soundcard from going to sleep cutting off sound.
