Good Morning: You are having the same problems that I had a year ago
with the Spectrum App. Their Tech's have no accessibility training with
these applications. They only want to sell the settopbox. I had a tech
out at that time on a line problem and he didn't even know about Voice
Over. At that time I decided to try a Fire Stick before going to the
Apple TV and the Spectrum App wasn't even in the App Store. If you
wished to use a Fire Stick you had to break Amazon's Security.
Spectrum's App doesn't work at all on an Apple TV. The only way to hear
Audio Description was from their library, not from live streaming. That
forced me dto change to an Apple
TV and go to Direct Streaming. You can find out a lot more information
from the adp-list, which is an email list on the acblists.org web page.

If you call the accessibility department, they don't know anything about the
app, only the cable boxes from what it seems.

this is not acceptable. The filters didn't seem to work for me even though I
had them set for all channels and in numerical order.

i got my first iPhone in March of 2019. I installed the Spectrum Mobile App for
iPhone in June of 2019. The app worked perfectly and was totally accessible
until yesterday. The app updated and now I have difficulty navigating the
interface. The app opens with a group of new filters, but setting and
navigating this screen is almost impossible. Gone are the simple 'all channels'
and 'simple Favorites' navigation screen when a single swipe right or left
moved you up and down the screen from channel to channel and a simple double
tap launched the selected channel.
Has anyone else noticed this or am i missing something as far as adjustments or
is this the new order of things with respect to the app? If so, and if people
want to keep using the app, I suggest you give feedback through the developer
website or the feed back link within the app settings.
