If it changes after a while this would indicate that a schedul emay be in effect. All of these smart thermostats can have schedules and this may work well for people who have a regular routine, e.g. they get up at the same time each day, leave for work the same time, come home around the same time etc. I have two smart thermostats controlling the two heat pumps/gas furnaces which heat my retail store and in this situation a schedule is great because from Monday to Saturday we open each day at 9 AM and close at 6 PM so we usually set the heat to turn down around 5:30 PM and go up again at 8:30 AM. But at home I don't have any use for a schedule so it's not set up and this way the temperature is where I set it until I change it.
