I got the VDR update too, but no such banner or at least not yet. I bought the app way back in 2011 or 2012 and have certainly gotten my money’s worth. There’s an alternative app called Bookplayer <https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bookplayer/id1138219998> which is very accessible. You can always use Apple’s native book app for eBooks and Kindle even supports ePub files now. A pet peeve of mine is everything requires a subscription. I see nothing in there reasons for this that affects me. So, nice I had it for so long. It was a wonderful app, but I am done with it. As with MBraille I was one of the first to buy it for I think 5 dollars. Makes me want to cry to lose it, but much more important places to put my money.
