There’s an alternative app called Bookplayer which is very
accessible.
You can always use Apple’s native book app
for eBooks and Kindle even supports ePub files now.
I updated and when the notice came up in the app I
clicked on the learn more thing at the bottom of the screen
and the announcement went away and it did not take me
anywhere I could learn more, it just wen back to the list of
books I have.
Not impressed.

Just received a message voice dream is going to cost 59
dollars a year now. A pet peeve of mine is everything
requires a subscription. I see nothing in there reasons
for this that affects me. So, nice I had it for so long.
It was a wonderful app, but I am done with it. As with
MBraille I was one of the first to buy it for I think 5
dollars. Makes me want to cry to lose it, but much more
important places to put my money. On Social Security
with a guide dog and so guess it goes away. Still want
to cry after all the books from Bookshare it has read to
me.

I just updated the app, and never
received a message at all from Voice Dream.
How is it possible for them to start
charging for something? Some of us have been using for
free actually not for free that we paid for already that
