The extra battery life looks great, but to my ears, the Apple Airpods Max are fantastic. I really thought that apart from that they would also support Wi-Fi connectivity when you are at home as all other Sonos products do and that they could be used as any other Sonos player and could be grouped with other Sonos players if, for example, my wife was watching a movie on our Arc surround setup and I wanted to listen on the headset while I was doing something else. Apparently it is very easy to transfer whatever is playing on another Sonos speaker to the headset which is somewhat nice, but I find it disappointing nonetheless. The first review I just read did sound positive in terms of the headset's design and sound quality. Apparently it is a definite step up from Apple's Airpods Max at a $100 lower price point and also competes well against Sony's top of the line offering. I may order one just to experience it, but I am 95% certain that I would probably send it back.
