We are still trying to set up something with our pool service guy to try to test screen recognition with a pool that already has the controller installed. We don’t want to spend a few thousand dollars and not be able to control it.
The app is certainly not accessible without screen recognition. It doesn’t recognize any of the controls on the screen, and just says page one of one. If not at all, then the app is completely inaccessible. The Sonos app, if you have any sonos speakers, works better with screen recognition. I have not found a lot of other apps where it helped. It was mentioned in another thread that someone turned screen recognition on for the Bard app, specifically, just to see how it acted. Someone else said they did this and got nonsense from the app. I turned it on for Bard, and when I entered Bard it said screen recognition on, but acted normally. I understand that this should not be turned on for apps that work with voiceover, but am just trying to understand what is going on. I was trying to experiment with it to see if it might work with the Omnilogic app for controlling our pool, which isn’t at all accessible once you have logged in. Unfortunately, we are just at the stage where we are trying to determine if there is any way to make this app accessible, so the only way we can really try it is to have our pool service rep connect to someone else’s pool that uses this controller.
