That
doesn’t work because I don’t have a Whatsapp entry in
Contacts.
I
asked SIRI to call x using Whatsapp and she replied:
Contacts
hasn’t added support for that with SIRI
Whatsapp
made a Contacts entry after doing the video call with my
brother-in-law.
I
open Whatsapp, and under the New Call button is:
To place
a Whatsapp voice or video call, tap
the New Call button and select a contact
Tapping
the New Call button brings up the contacts section list. Each
person’s name is followed
by the word “invite”.
Tapping
person X brings up a send text screen.
The
TO: field has the phone number.
The
text field seems to have a web address.
There
is a Send button.
Whatsapp
is supposed to be able to make a voice or video call using
WiFi to save on
costs.
How
can I initiate a Whatsapp call to someone in my Contacts?

My visiting brother-in-law setup my
Iphone with Whatsapp, to be able to have a video call with
his family in England. This we did, each calling each other
and getting a video connection.
Now my Contacts has a second card for
him (added by Whatsapp) with a button for video.
If a friend has whatsapp installed
can one of us call the other and each phone will make an
automatic video connection.
Or, will each of us have to make
manual configuration setting first?
