I presume that the fast charging block is not an Apple product, correct?
Sometimes even though these may be used to charge other USB-C devices, they may
not work for iPhones. I try to stay within the Apple eco system when dealing
with Apple products. I would suggest to get one of those Apple 20 wat blocks to
charge your iPhone.

make sense. I just got an iPhone 16 Pro and AirPods Pro two and also a watch
nine. When I got the cords for the iPod two pro and the 16 pro I noticed that
the cords did not fit into USB on my search protector or the thing that you
plug your devices into. Mine has three USB ports. I had to get my fast charging
block and plug it into that and then plug it into my phone. When I plugged it
into the USB ports, it would not charge. is this normal behavior because of
the USbc? My watch nine can still be charged in the USB port. What kind of
surge protector, or whatever that is called that you plug all those devices
into, would I get? Should it be mostly USB-C? Would the cord for the watch fit
into the USB-C places on the device surge protector? Thank you for any help
understanding all of this.

Back in the day with the old flip phones you'd get a charger with each phone
you bought and if you wanted a second charger you had to buy it specifically
for your phone. If you lost your charger years down the road you had a heck of
a time to find one and all that. Nowadays with USB-C as the standard this is
simply no issue any more and if you happen to forget your cable, you can ask
just about anybody to borrow one or if you really want to buy one you can get
it at any electronics store, at airports and probably even in most convenience
stores.

I do apologize. I do recall when Apple first started announcing they were going
to switch to USBC. I’m pretty sure this was prior to the release of the 14

It is lightening, but I think that it is a uspc to lightening instead of the
older usp-a to lightening cable that older phones use. In contrast, the iphone
15 which I just upgraded to has a fully uspc cable. It was quite a surprise for
me because I did not have any wall adapters that would take that type of cable,
and my laptop does not have any of those type of ports either. I had to
purchase a compatible charging port to be able to charge my phone.
