HI Rena, I added an ePub book to subfolder in my Dropbox folder with my computer. Then I went into the Dropbox app on my iPhone and located the Epub book. I open it, read some of it and closed it by tapping the back button on the upper left of the screen. Then I made sure I was on the book, flick down until I heard delete and double tapped. At that point I was asked if I really wanted to delete the book and I said yes, and the book was gone.

When I open a document or file with Dropbox, there is a delete button on the bottomline toolbar I can access on my iPhone 13 Mini running iOS 17.7 and the latest version of Dropbox. I'm not sure why you don't have access to the same options and expect none of us will be able to help you without additional details. Occasionally I have been unable to close a file and find it necessary to close Dropbox in the App switcher. Then it behaves normally when I reopen Dropbox.
