You can also use it to access your regular number on another device. Which is what I was doing whenever I had them from my home phone service as well. Because every once in a while, the box would disconnect.

I use one for my work number because I do not want to give out my personal number. You can use this on your iPhone Xr, iPad, computer, or all of them combined. The digits lines uses its own app. It's associated with your T-Mobile ID, not your number. I highly recommend this if you need another number.
