Will, Thank you for this. Ok I’ve been reading about this digits app online now. It sounds great, but I’ve read some reviews from customers, and they say the app crashes often. I can now try and download this digit app, or maybe downgrade the current plan with T-Mobile, and get a second line. Where I live the Landline phone service is $50.00 per month or that is what it was some years ago, and I don’t need to pay that much for a service I won’t be using, as I use my iPhone for all my calls. I’ve also been reading about T-Mobile having different phone plans which is cheaper than what I currently have, so I might try that too. This is a lot to think about.! Smile!

Hi Janet, Here is the answer to your question, along with some I thought may further assist you. · What if I need an additional number? If you want additional DIGITS lines, you can purchase a DIGITS Talk & Text line for $10/month (w/AutoPay discount using eligible payment method). If you want your smartwatch to use the same number as your primary phone, you can purchase Data with Paired DIGITS for your smartwatch for just $10/month(w/AutoPay discount using eligible payment method), or high-speed Data with Paired DIGITS for your paired smartphone for $20/month(w/AutoPay discount using eligible payment method) · Can I call or text 911 with DIGITS? Yes. But calls and texts to 911 still work best from your landline or primary cell phone number, and without using Wi-Fi. You should always provide your actual location and callback number to the 911 operator and be aware that if the operator calls you back, the call may be answered by others sharing your DIGITS line. See the DIGITS Terms of Use for additional 911 information. · How much does DIGITS cost? Nothing! You don’t have to pay anything extra to access your existing T-Mobile voice lines in the DIGITS app – this is available for free to all T-Mobile customers! Just download the DIGITS app for Android, iOS, or desktop to access your T-Mobile number from any internet-connected phone, tablet, or computer. However, you can purchase special DIGITS line types, which you can learn about below. T-Mobile has what they call digits lines. It is similar to Skype. I use one for my work number because I do not want to give out my personal number. You can use this on your iPhone Xr, iPad, computer, or all of them combined. The digits lines uses its own app. It's associated with your T-Mobile ID, not your number. I highly recommend this if you need another number. Wi-Fi calling is not the same as making phones via Wi-Fi using some third party VoIP app like Skype, Viber etc. I have my business telephone number with Telus here in Canada and I am using their Business Connect VoIP plan. This also gives me the option to use the Telus Biz Connect app and theoretically I could use that app on an iPhone which has no SIM card as long as I am connected to Wi-Fi, but once again, this is calling via Wi-Fi using a VoIP app which is not the same as the Wi-Fi calling feature offered by most carriers which use a Wi-Fi connection if you are somewhere where you have a weak cellular connection. Hello Everyone, I bought a new iPhone 16 Pro, I want to use my old XR phone for Wi-Fi calling. I called my phone carrier T-Mobile after I tried turning on Wi-Fi calling on my old XR phone, and I kept getting a message if I want to use Wi-Fi calling I will need to call T-Mobile. I called T-Mobile, and I asked them about this, they said they don’t see that I ever had a XR phone with them. I explained I had a XR phone for 6 years with them, and matter of fact, I told them I’ve been with them as my phone carrier for 20 years. So, after the rep kept putting me on hold, he finally told me they will need to turn on the Wi-Fi from their end and that will take 24 hours, and he told me that last Thursday. I never got any text message from them, and I still can’t use Wi-Fi calling on my old XR phone. Thank you all. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
