please someone clarify what is this "action" button?

ON my 16 pro, it only says the true state of the setting. If I tap the action
button, it says what it is currently, Ring Mode or Silent mode.
If I hold the action button in, it will switch.
Perhaps you are pressing it too long?

You know the sales lady atVerizon showed me something. I was having a hard time
knowing when Silent Mode was on or off, because whatever it says, it says
Silent Mode is on, whether it is on or not. She showed me to pay attention to
the haptics, because there is stronger vibration, when it is turned on than
when turned off. I thought that was pretty incredible for a sighted lady not
knowing any blind people. She said that she had learned a lot from me.

Yes, thank you. I have been able to extend the time before it goes to sleep but
I do wish I could increase the volume of th “pops” -I am still struggling to
get the gesture right.

I am not aware of a way to increase the volume on those sounds, unless it is in
the Sound and Haptics setting.

The auto lock is in the settings, display and brightness.

I have just come home with my new iphone and have a couple of questions.

Firstly, is there a way of making the pop sound a little louder as you swipe up
the screen.

Secondly, I can’t remember how to extend the time before the Iphone goes to
sleep – where do I find this in settings please?
