I have not muted or silenced, and I did restart my phone, still have the
same problem.
Plus, I have a new one now with texts. They say Hide Allerts. If I change to
Show Allerts they say Muted.

Try restarting your phone. I had this problem a while ago and restarting the
phone fixed it. This could also happen if you are in a location where you
were getting a very poor signal like in a store or some thing I would also
make sure that you haven't somehow muted or silenced notifications from
