Hello Everyone,

I have my old XR iPhone, and I want to keep it as my second phone as a backup.
The problem I have with the phone is it keeps losing the battery charge even
though I'm not currently using it, and I haven't used it since December of 2024.
The battery health on the phone says it is at 81 percent when it is charged, it
also says the battery level is at its normal peak as when it was new, so I
again charge the phone, but when I put the phone away for a few days, and I
check the phone battery the battery is completely dead.
I didn't use to have this much problem with the battery on the phone when I
used it daily.
Can someone please tell me what causes the battery to lose charge like mine
is doing?
I've checked everywhere on the phone through the setting App to see what might
be running in the background, and I can't seem to find anything that would
cause the phone to lose the entire charge.
I want to call my phone carrier to get a second line, but not the way the phone
batteries are losing charge like they are.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

Kindly,

Janet.
