And it’s entirely logical to me that if an “Action” rotor item is available that the rotor should default to that.

Yeah, ever since actions were added to the rotor it has a tendency to move to actions when they exist. There is a setting in rotor options that somewhat adjusts this behavior. I just tend to make sure that the rotor items aI use the most are at the top or bottom of the list, and this seems to help. Of course if you customize the order of the rotor then everybody else’ will have the rotor in the wrong order. Jonathan On May 5, 2025, at 3:14 PM, Kevin Minor <[email protected]> wrote: Hi. What I’ll describe goes back as far as I can remember, and that’s over 10 years. For some odd reason, and I can’t figure out what I might be doing, the roter on my iPhone and Apple Watch keeps wanting to switch to speaking rate. Perhaps I want to read something by word, and when I try to do so, Voiceover either speaks very slow, or it’s so fast that I can’t understand it. I set the rotar to what I want, and all is well. Now, my logical thinking says that when I need whatever, the Roter should be where I left it, but nope. It’s back to speaking rate. Honestly, this isn’t something that will affect the Universe as we know it, and it’s easy enough to get where I want, but I am curious about this. Just me rambling on.
