If you pause after each bump then VoiceOver will let you know what you'll get. If you slide up from the bottom and pause after the second bump then you'll hear something like "Lift for home". This could help you practice.

I forget which is which, but just experiment some and you’ll learn how far to swipe dow and aayalway get where you want to go. Good luck. Sent from my quantum phone!! My first question is, and I apologize for asking, that if the app switcher starts if you swipe down from the top, could you accidently hold the phone upside down? It has happened to me when I wasn't paying attention, but if I hold it correctly, I can't see how touching the very top and swiping down with 1 finger would start the app switcher for which you have to touch the very bottom of the phone and swipe up past the first haptic feedback to the second. Of course Control Centre is what should come up if you touch the top and swipe down to the first haptic feedback with 1 finger, swipe down further and you get Notification Centre. Similarly, if you touch the very bottom (provided you are holding the phone in the correct orientation) and swipe up to the first vibration, you are taken to the home screen and swiping up further to the second vibration will give you the app switcher. I definitely have seen posts from people who assigned a 2-finger swipe left to Home and a 2-finger swipe right to bringing up the app switcher or vice versa. I’m still new at this so I understand if its user error but just want to know if there is an answer to this? Also, when I try to send a text message through Siri, she cuts me off if I end a sentence but am not through with the message. Then, she doesn’t read me back the message. Long time ago I remember setting something up so that I can swipe with 2 fingers left and right to go through my rotor options and this is still what I do sometimes but I’m wondering if I can set something up like this but to go to the app switcher or home? I don’t remember how this is done. Can someone please answer some of these things please? I’d really appreciate it for me but especially for my husband who is also new to not having a home button!
