When you talk to Apple, ask about turning the flash light off for good if you are the only person who might need the flash light on your phone. Its not like it can’t be put back on the phone later if needed.

James and All, I think you’re right, as now, my phone is nice and cool. I did notice as soon as I told Siri to turn off the flashlight, the phone started cooling down. I don’t know how I turned on the flashlight, as I never did that before, but some way I must have. I also noticed after the phone cooled down, about 25 minutes ago I played Apple Music, and when I tapped on the music app, I heard voiceover say dismiss now playing screen, and I tapped on that to turn it off, so it seems like the music was playing in the background, without me knowing, I didn’t hear anything, and I had the phone close to me, so maybe it also had something to do with the dismiss now playing button. I also just checked the battery health, and it is at 86 percent, and just last week, it was at 87 percent, so it looks like I lost a percentage of the battery. I also checked the battery in the status bar, and the phone battery just went from 100 percent to 89 percent. Hello Gordan, I just checked the battery percentage, and it is telling me I used more batteries percentage than usual today, and it was 80 percent that I used today, and it said my flashlight was on for the first time in a week, and I don’t ever turn on the flashlight. It also told me I was playing music for 10 hours today, and I wasn’t, matter of fact, I played Apple Music for about 16 minutes, earlier, and I turned it off. Although, I just turned off the flashlight, and within a few minutes, finally my phone feels like it is starting to cool down. I just can’t imagine what brought all this on. I have my phone laying on a paper envelope, and the envelope was warm, but like I said, finally it seems like the phone as well as the envelope is cooling down. I wonder what happened though. Go into settings, battery and flick down a little ways until you get to the section where it will show you the top apps that I’ve used the most battery for the day. That should be a good starting point that will tell you what’s more than likely consuming all of that battery. It sounds like something is running out of control on your phone. Not sure what that might be, but the battery section will definitely give you a really good Headstart. You can see screen on and screen off time under that section, how long each app use the battery.
