If Telus works in your area then Koodo will as well because Koodo is owned by Telus and uses the exact same network. In fact, when I turn my phone off completely and then turn it on and look at the status bar immediately where the carrier information is displayed, I can often see "searching." for a moment, then it says "Telus Network" and then after a bit more it switches to "Koodo Network".
