Telus may say this, but believe me, if Telus has good coverage where you live a Koodo phone would work just the same. It goes through the same cell towers and in any case, Koodo is owned by Telus, just cheaper. Only situation where Koodo may not be a good solution is if you needed a 6 Gig data plan or something like that. I believe Koodo offers 2 Gig max whereas Telus does offer much bigger plans for business customers. Just call Koodo if you don't believe me. In fact, when I turn my phone off completely and then turn it on and look at the status bar immediately where the carrier information is displayed, I can often see "searching." for a moment, then it says "Telus Network" and then after a bit more it switches to "Koodo Network".
