Hi Mária, I did buy the Lifeproof case at one point or at least I bought "a" Lifeproof case since I am actually not sure if by now they don't have more than one.
Anyhow, the one I bought is the one that is completely waterproof. Itt is made from moulded plastic, you put your phone into the main part and then put the back on the case. It has seals and you have to push fairly hard to make sure it snaps into place all the way around. There then is either a plug you screw into the opening for the headphone jack if you want to make it waterproof or a short cable which plugs into the headphone jack and also screws tight and on the other end of that it has a female 3.5mm jack so you could plug in a waterproof headset. You can of course use the normal Apple headset, but then you couldn't use it in the water. 2 things to keep in mind are this: 1. This case is fully waterproof as in if it is put on right and you have the headphone opening sealed with either the plug or the provided headphone jack you can throw this in the water or go swimming with it. But because of this the charging port is covered up and you have to take the phone out of the case to charge it. 2. If you do want it waterproof and are a Voiceover user as most of us are, you have to use the provided headphone jack which screws in and allows you to plug in a headset. This is necessary because even the little plug that seals the opening for the headphone has a male end sticking out which goes into the headphone jack on the phone. The phone senses that and assumes a headset has been plugged in and there is no more sound via the external speaker. Overall this is a good case if you want a tough case and a waterproof case. It also comes with a good belt clip. If I remember correctly the Otterbox Defender is a bit more bulky and to my knowledge it does offer great protection, but it is not fully waterproof. The negative on the Lifeproof case is the fact that you have to take the phone out of the case to charge it and I find while it is not difficult to put the phone into the case, it's way too much trouble to use this on a daily bases.
