I have a Braille Pen 12 and it does not get warm when I charge
it.
I would talk to the company and see what they say about that.

I've used a demo unit for a while and it will get rather warm.
It stops
getting warm once it is fully charged.
I would not leave it plugged in over night in case it actually is
getting
too warm and perhaps over heat to a dangerous level.
It should only take about 2 to 4 hours to fully charge I think.
