To add to what David has just said: I too am an iPhone/OCR proponent, but have
become, increasingly, aware that for many VIP users these apps, even after
exhaustive practice, are just not user friendly or even possible alternatives
to the old flat-bed scanner plus PC/Laptop. So, i have been trawling the net
for some way to dispense with the skill factor. I think I, along with others
here on the list, have found something that works! However, to describe and
explain the thinking and practice behind this, I will need to write a fairly
long email, so I will start a new thread called "ScanBox". If you are
interested please look out for it shortly and we will see if we can't make
available to all of us much more productive scanning functionality.
Back soon,
Sandy.
