Hello,
In response to the message sent previously concerning the problem of one of our colleagues with his inability to listen to voice
calls from his bluetooth speaker via iPhone 5, which has been re-inforced by a message I have also previously sent concerning the
same problem with my recently purchased Jabra Extreme 2 speaker, which, because of moderation hasn't reached the list up till now,
This is the solution I received from Jabra:
"We suggest that you try the following procedure in order to solve this issue.
Please follow these instructions STEP by STEP:
1) Delete the current pairing in your mobile phone if you have one.
2) Turn the Bluetooth OFF on your phone.
3) Reset the phone by switching it off and then remove battery.
4) Reset and test the headset by 'pressing and holding' all three buttons at the same time. Untill the light will light up in a
white light.
5) In this mode, the pairing list is reset, and you can test if the headset works as you will be able to hear audio in the
speaker from the microphone.
6) The headset will automatically turn off after approx.10 seconds.
7) The next time you power on, the headset will go into pairing mode as the
first time you powered your new JABRA EXTREME on.
8) Re-insert battery in your phone and turn it back on.
9) Turn the Bluetooth back on. Please set your phone to 'Discover' or something similar in the Bluetooth section of your menu.
The 2 devices should now 'find' each other. Please enter 0000 as the passkey. Your JABRA EXTREME should now be working."
I haven't yet tried these steps because till now I don't know how to remove my iPhone 5 battery. I'd highly appreciate it if any of
my colleagues on the list could help me with instructions on that matter.
Thank you.
Best Regards

Subject: Strange problem with bluetooth headset
Hi all.
I am having a problem with my motorola hx550 bluetooth headset intermittently. I actually have two of them since a2dp won't work on
a second phone and this only is happening so far with my iPhone 5 and not my 4. What sometimes happens is that I will answer a call
and the person can apparently hear me but I either hear myself and/or what is happening where I am. I've also had this with placing
a call; I think the call goes through but I hear my own environment; for instance if I have an audiobook playing I'll hear that
right through my headset instead of the call. Any idea what could be triggering this?
