Hi,

I doubt there would be an accessible app for that unless you somehow labeled
the wrench with a small barcode sticker although a small wrench would most
likely be too small for that. You could also put a piece of duct tape around
the wrench so that a tab is sticking out and put some sort of label on it.
There are gauge apps, but they are very visual.

Anyhow, there are much easier way and while this is not iOS related your
initial question was so I'll put the answer here and maybe there are some
others on here who are handy even if they may not be handsome *smile*.

If you mostly deal with metric sizes, just take a piece of wood, get a
selection of screws with the different size heads, e.g. 11mm, 13mm, 15mm
etc. and screw them into the block of wood either with enough spacing so you
could glue a braille label next to each or put them in order so as long as
you know what size you start with you know what they are. Then if you need,
for example a 13mm wrench, you can simply try your collection of wrenches on
what you know is the 13mm screw.

The other option, of course, would be to keep your wrenches on pegs in order
or in plastic sleepves where you could put a braille dymo tape label on the
sleeve.

Sieghard

Subject: Identifying items in sets

Hi all,

As I was going through wrenches this afternoon to find the particular one I
needed I got to wondering if there is any sort of ap that could tell the
difference between something like a 13 mmm wrench and a 15 mm wrench. I
wouldn't even mind if I had to go through the sets of wrenches and identify
each one for the ap if the ap could tell them apart later.

I can't imagine how it would work but don't know how a lot of these things
work so thought it was worth asking about.

Thanks for any ideas you might have.
