Stupid question. I can't find location services; I see in settings the notifications but can't find location service. I swear I must be getting old or something, I just can't remember anything any more. Patti

I suppose your requests could be routed through nearby servers, reducing latency a bit, but I really can't imagine that this is what is happening.
