We recommend using a case for your iPhone with BrailleTouch to help with

I can't tell you how much I like this app. For me it's amazing. I use it all
the time as my main iPhone input method. No more bluetooth keyboards for me!
For those of you having problems, please don't give up. Keep trying. It's a
great app for anyone who prefers to write in Braille. My sighted friends are
even impressed with the speed I can now write on my iPhone. I just so wish
that Apple would allow the developers a way of incorporating it as a
keyboard choice.
Once again, thank you so much to Caleb and others involved in creating this
app. You have done an amazing job and I for one am spreading the word to
everyone about it. I look forward to grade 2 as and when this is introduced.
