If you have the previous app backed up to your computer, you can then delete the app on your phone and sync with iTunes. The old app needs to be checked in the list of apps. It will be synced back to your phone.

If you have both the new and the older version in your my music, iTunes, iTunes media, mobile folder, delete the newest one. They will be listed something like version 1.1 and 1.2 etc. The one with the bigger number is the one you want to delete. Then just sync your phone with iTunes.

You will then be shown the new version of the app when you look at the apps on the home screen. I installed the newest version of the Chicago Bears app. I didn't like it as much. The new app takes you to a web site to read the articles where as the old app just showed them within the app. so, I uninstalled the app on my phone and deleted the new version from my computer so the old version was still there. In iTunes where it shows the apps you have backed up to your computer, there is a list of all the backed up apps. The ones you are using are checked. The older versions or ones you have manually unchecked are there. Just check the older version of the app and sync your iPhone to your computer. The old app will be restored to your phone.

Subject: Is there a way to downgrade an app?

Hi all...

I am quite unhappy with the latest Facebook update as it doesn't work well with VO. Others have probably encountered the same problems...VO not talking when typing a status...but worse than that...whenever I try to post on someone's wall, I get the camera instead of the place to type! Grrr! Consequently, I am wondering if there is a way to downgrade to the previous app? Not holding my breath, but would appreciate any suggestions. TIA.

Ann
