Hi, I don't think so. In my experience once you upgrade an app and sync your phone, the newly updated app is transferred to the computer. This is also true if you update apps from the computer and then sync your phone, the new app is transferred from pc to device. However if you want the older version of the app, you must get it from your recycle bin as long as you haven't emptied it out. What I do is go into the mobile applications folder and copy out the apps which really matter to me into a safe location, like a mobile applications backup folder. Then if the really really important app is upgraded and not accessible, I can always go back to the older version by re-adding it to the iTunes library after removing the newer and unwanted app. Sounds complicated but is really not.

Actually, even if you have synced your phone with iTunes both the older
version and the new version will be there. Just uncheck or delete the
new version and sync. The old version will be copied back to your
phone. Any settings within the old app should of been saved the last
time that app was saved to the computer so any changes you made in the
app should be restored as well.

Hi,

If you had performed a backup before you did the current update to
Facebook and have not connected the iPhone to iTunes, then the answer is
yes. Here is what you do:
1. Remove the app from the phone. In this case Facebook.
2. Now, connect the phone to the computer. This will open up iTunes and
probably sync.
3. Locate your phone in the device source list.
4. Tab over to the app checkbox and press the spacebar to check it.
5. Tab over to the list of your apps installed on your phone. You will
need to use either the up or down arrow keys to find the Facebook app of
the previous version.

6. Press the spacebar to check it.
7. Tab to the apply button and press enter. Just wait and the older
version will be installed back on the phone.

Again, this will only work if you have not connected the phone to iTunes
after you had installed the new version. HTH.

Hi all...

I am quite unhappy with the latest Facebook update as it doesn't work
well with VO. Others have probably encountered the same problems...VO
not talking when typing a status...but worse than that...whenever I
try to post on someone's wall, I get the camera instead of the place
to type! Grrr! Consequently, I am wondering if there is a way to
downgrade to the previous app? Not holding my breath, but would
appreciate any suggestions. TIA.
