Hi Sherry,

You unfortunately can't send a previous copy of an app to anybody else
because when you download an app you are required to enter your Apple ID and
password and this ties the app specifically to your Apple ID. If this were
not the case, anybody could give copies of apps to their friends and family
which Apple of course wants to prevent. One could argue that free apps
should be generic and not tied to one's Apple ID and I have heard rumours
that maybe one day this will be the case which means you would not have to
put in your password to download a free app, but even that at this point is
of course not the case.

Regards,
Sieghard

I save copies of apps every time before I upgrade. and I do have the
previous version of Facebook. Write to me offline if you are interested and
maybe i can help you out. I reinstalled the earlier version on my phone
after upgrading. I just have to be careful now not to choose Update all
when updating in the App Store.

Subject: Is there a way to downgrade an app?

Hi all...

I am quite unhappy with the latest Facebook update as it doesn't work well
with VO. Others have probably encountered the same problems...VO not talking
when typing a status...but worse than that...whenever I try to post on
someone's wall, I get the camera instead of the place to type! Grrr!
Consequently, I am wondering if there is a way to downgrade to the previous
app? Not holding my breath, but would appreciate any suggestions. TIA.

Ann
